COVID Policy

Here at MBI, we want to reassure you that we remain committed to making your experience at our events as safe and enjoyable as possible. Our goal is to be compliant with the current UK Government guidelines for business events, ensuring we react swiftly to any future changes.

Whilst there are currently no legal restrictions, we recognise that we all have a duty of care to be considerate and therefore we are moving forward cautiously. At some of the venues we host our events in, they have their own Covid policies you will need to be aware of, but we will ensure that we communicate this to you on each individual event.

The safety of our visitors, exhibitors and staff is our highest priority. The MBI policy to attend any of our live events will be as follows:

Show proof of either:

  1. Having received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, which must be at least 14 days before attending the event. This should be declared in the following way:
    1. Vaccination registered on the NHS App as your NHS COVID Pass
    2. a letter confirming your vaccination from the NHS – you can request this by calling 119 or via the nhs.org.uk website

NB – We strongly suggest that you take a photo of your QR code if using the app as phone signal cannot always be guaranteed at the venues, and we would not be able to allow access without it.

  1. Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test result, which can be taken at home or at a recognised centre free of charge, within 48 hours of the event. This should be declared in the following way:
    1. From an email or text from the NHS or recognised partner confirming your result
    2. Bring a photo of the negative test result (please do not bring the stick with you as we will not have the facility to dispose of them)
    3. The negative result being shown and logged on the NHS App

  1. If you are a UK resident who has had a positive PCR test within the last six months and has completed self-isolation with proof of natural immunity up to 180 days after taking the test. This antigen test can be demonstrated via your NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App.

We will accept antigen test results and proof of a positive dated PCR test result.

We will ask all attendees to our events to use common sense to participate in our events. In line with Government guidance if you answer YES to any of the following then you MUST NOT attend the event:

  • Have you been told to self-isolate by a government test and trace service in the last 7 days?
  • Are you feeling unwell, including a high temperature, new continuous cough and a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste?
  • Is anyone in your household suffering with COVID-19 symptoms?
  • Are you currently required to isolate following a visit to an area or country where quarantine is required upon return?
  • Have you been in close contact with anyone who has COVID-19 or anyone who has been showing symptoms in the last 7 days?

We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone who is not compliant with these policies to ensure the safety of those at the event. We also respectfully ask that if at any point you feel unwell with any of the outlined COVID symptoms during one of our events, that you leave immediately.

If you have any questions or DO NOT agree to provide proof of covid certification, please contact events@mb-insight.com

Hygiene

While face masks will no longer be mandatory, there are some venues we are working with that still have mask-wearing in place as a policy for gaining entry. So please do bring a mask with you as guidelines can change and it is best to be prepared.

Venue Hygiene – all our events will undertake enhanced, deep cleaning before, during and after our events, we will be working with venue partners to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. This includes continuous sanitisation throughout the course of an event, with a focus on high-touch areas such as door handles, restrooms and food/beverage areas.

Personal Hygiene Hand sanitising stations will be provided throughout the entire event space at all of our venues, and we will continue to encourage all participants to regularly wash and disinfect their hands.

Registration and Ticketing Process

MBI commits to, where possible, to make use of contactless registration. This may mean we ask delegates to collect their own badge and connect their lanyard or register during a specific time slot. We will use digital tickets at most of our events to ensure physical contact is limited, reducing the risk of transmission.
